So needless to say, when the goal is to make a piece of paper look and feel like a the road, you know things are going to get interesting. As they did when we were asked to partner on Les Schwab's in store 2016 Wheels catalog and handout.
The paper was a 80lb gloss cover stock which took a litho 4 color process with spot PMS and high contrast metallic silver. The cover stock was also hit with a spot gloss aqueous coating and finally a spot reticulated finish gloss to give the appearance and feel of the road.
From there Guided did a single level emboss on the cover, scored the front cover, spot glued and folded to make a double thick front cover. Finishing with saddle stitching the 20 pages.
In the end, it was an incredible brochure with wonderful print and finishing. We are extremely grateful for being brought in by the print partner Graphic Arts Center in Portland to complete all the finishings. It truly is a showpiece piece. We are already looking forward to the 2017 catalog.
