Reuse It!

January 29, 2009 1 min read

There are some products that simply can't come in the perfect packaging. For example, I'm a big fan of yogurt. Yogurt comes in a plastic tub, but I typically buy the larger size instead of the single serving. It cuts down on packaging waste and is typically less expensive than buying an individual serving. Instead of just recycling your old yogurt container, consider reusing it for left overs.

The other night I made a large batch of chicken stock for cooking. Instead of buying Tupperware, I reached for several of my old yogurt tubs which make an excellent storage container for freezing stock and other left overs. I usually get a few uses before the plastic cracks and it gets retired to my recycle bin.

I saw this great idea online about a year ago. Someone came up with a great idea for reusing a cd spindle.
