The day will come when future generations will ask... "What's a jewel case?" We're quick to embrace new technology that saves us time and money. The convenience of downloading music off iTunes far outweighs standing in line at a music store (another thing of the past). Many of us are creatures of old habits and still do burn CDs and DVDs. I still enjoy burning music mixes on CDs to share with friends. I still despise putting them in plastic jewel cases that always end up cracking or breaking. In the business world, production studios, television networks, radio stations...you name it; all use a ton of CDs. Most reach for their old standby, plastic jewel case, to protect what's on the disc. About three years ago, Sustainable Group came up with a great alternative to the plastic jewel case called the ReSleeve . The result was a hybrid of the old, vinyl record jacket but combining the functionality of the plastic windowed paper CD sleeve. We eliminated the plastic, left the hole in the center and beefed up the sleeve with 100% Recycled/FSC Certified chipboard. To date, the ReSleeve is one of our most popular products. We like to say that it's "Perfect for the Band or the Boardroom". We were flattered when a couple of years ago The Sundance Channel switched over all their DVD packaging to ReSleeves. All their on-air shows that get sent out to the media and even the screening for the Emmy Awards are protected in our ReSleeve. A few other big companies making the switch include Creative Artists Agency, MTV Networks, Paramount Pictures, Discovery Channel, NBC Universal and CBS Television. It's time that everyone get ReSleeved!
