Recycling on the go

how do i recycle

1800recycling.com has long been one of our go-to websites to figure out how to recycle certain objects. So we were delighted when we discovered that they had an app for both the iPhone and Android. If you live in the US or Canada and own a smart phone, this app is an extremely useful one. Simply give it your current location or enter a zip code, enter in the type of thing you need to recycle, and the app will tell you where to take it, how to get there, and how to get in touch with them. It even allows you to start various recycling lists, so you can aggregate objects you need to take to the same place, reducing the number of trips you  need to make. Instantly, the app was able to pull up 20 locations in a 10 mile radius in which to recycle my ReBinder recycled binders. And best of all, it's free. Check it out by downloading the 1800recycling.com app from the iPhone App Store, or Android Market.
